Combo of arrogant bastard, Oaked arrogant bastard, and double bastard. I'm lukewarm to any of those three beers in their own. Together, they make a very enjoyable combo. This is a strong and hoppy beer with a lot of layers.

Arrogant Bastard, Double Bastard and Oaked Arrogant Bastard. Perfect blend of the three. Really brings out the arrogance of all three brews.

Toasty hops. Reminds me of a brown ale mixed with an IPA.

Aroma: Smells as close to a wet hop as I've ever experienced. Underneath is the apricot/orange aroma indicative of american hops. Appearance: A clear but just slightly hazy reddish mahogany with a white a quick fading head. Taste: Despite the aroma this is not hop bomb. The initial flavor is that of candied apricots. A thicker mouthfeel promotes this sweetness. In fact there is just a small bitterness to it, very balanced with just a hint of citrus rind. The fruity experience carries into a lingering sweet aftertaste. Overall: The first thing I noticed was the malt base, very unusual for the Stone brewery. However it works well with there 13 anniversary offering. This is a very complex and fruity beer. Despite it's higher strength there is no alcohol bite. This is a great desert beer. Grab yours while it is still out.
