A solid imperial stout, not too chocolatey, especially for the price.

Definitely has a bite too it, but overall rich, roasted, and smooth...the 2015 version is 9.9% abv

Nice imperial stout. Slightly roasty but smooth like an oatmeal stout.

Really nice imperial stout.. Great price and worth it.. The Abv by the way is 9.9% $7 bucks worth every penny.. Roasted malt, subtle chocolate, with a minimal splash of anise.. The proper way a russian imperial should be built.not the very best but top 3 russian imperial material ...4 stars

Personal Note: It is a little better than good Imperial Stout, but it doesn't bring anything unique to the table. It is a good beer at a great price, which seems like a constant with Lagunitas.
First Taste: Up North Liquor; Brooklyn Park, MN
Cost: $4.79 @ 1 pint 6 fl. oz.

A little too carbonated And a bit too hoppy.
It's a refreshing stout which is weird,
Still drinkable thou

Pours with a nice thick tan head. Reminds me of a bowl of oatmeal! Thick mouthfeel with nice roastiness. Lots of alcohol burn in the finish.
