Buena mierda, as mom always says. Biggest concern with Lago Imp Stout was, were folks rating mainly relative to its price? With the big malt tastes up front, the answer is no, it?s good! Really a pretty classic stout. Best value imp stout available. Will now be a mainstay of the collection. This is a good stout for both stout and porter lovers. It is not wimpy, as I personally think 98% of porters are, but also not too thick, not too rich, so whussy porter lovers will not be bowled over with too much stouty intensity, god forbid. Second try with this beer, I was a little less enthused. But it is still not bad. Maybe three stars is more accurate.

Malty with a whole lot going on with the hops an ABV.

Somebody needs to update this from 8.2 ABV to 9.9. That?s almost 2 percent; big difference. $4.99 at any local liquor store. That?s a bargain. Smooth, deep, rich flavor. From what I?ve tasted, Lagunitas is pretty much on point with their brews, and the pricing is aggressive.

Safeway. Single bottle. Looks good. Strong stout. Bitter after taste. Not sure if I will buy again.

Solid imperial stout, but nothing above average.

Rich chocolate, coffee and toffee notes. Not too boozy, but a supper nonetheless. Nicely done.

A really nice Imperial Stout. Pours a deep brown with little head. Has a nice aroma and good balance. The flavor is balanced but not exceptionally complex.

Not ABVy. Great sipper. Could actually do with a smaller bottle.
