witchal - May 12, 2012Good for an IPA. Not a big fan of the style. Dark ale with a light head. Sweet aroma. Bitter bite gives way to a mellow smoked fruit pallet. If I had to drink an IPA, this might be the one.
Borderking - March 31, 2012Absolutely perfect! Wow, a complex layering of dark, roasty, coffee bean flavors with just the right amount of sweetness to complement. It's delicious, beguiling, and drinkable. Amazing! My favorite Black IPA!

Didn't expect this one. The waitress just said "black IPA". What I got was a strong, malty delight with a well balanced hop bitterness. There is a bit of chocolate or roasted malt with a lighter body than you would expect for the dark color. Wonderful beer. I should really find myself some more.
