A truly AWESOME black IPA, very smooth and complex. One of my top beers.

Hoppy aroma. Strong, good character, but too hoppy for my taste

A dark brown mahogany in color with a thick bready muffin like beige head and earthy peaty aroma. Very smooth viscous mouthfeel with a coffee like forward and a very slight hop bite on the finish. An interesting ipa that drinks like a stout. A complex layering of dark, roasty, coffee bean flavors with just the right amount of sweetness to complement. It's delicious, and drinkable, considering it is 9% abv

Overall very well balanced between the hops and the dark malt.

Sweet, malty, and oaky, but not overly burnt.

Can't believe it's a ipa. Wowie like a stout with a kick.
