Vanilla, oak. Hint of a good scotch. A favorite of mine!

Not my favorite dogfish head brew! I feel they tried to do to much to this beer

Serving: 12 oz bottle pouted into a snifter.
Nice and malty with a subtle oak flavor. Decent hop balance as well. Easy to drink despite the alcohol content

Wow. This is a complex brew. Pleasantly surprised with the flavor combo and hop profile. Keep it up, Dogfish Head.

This is my favorite beer! It's complexity is unbelievable, with lots of oak, maple, and vanilla. The best part of this drink is breathing out through your nose after sipping it, and feeling that oak and maple fill your head. There's nothing quite like it. I was lucky enough to score a case of this last autumn, and can't wait to age it.

Lots of depth, pleasing to the last sip.

Sweet on the nose and when it first hits the tongue, but packs a quick bite (as it should at 11% ABV). I would compare it to a really strong brown ale with a bold malty character.

Raisin, maplewood and vanilla on the nose and palate. Smooth for 11 abv but with aging it could be incredible. Almost like a bigger, complex raison d'etre
*Having a 2011, a year of aging made it that much smoother, hops receded, dangerous to drink

Aging since 11/25/11
