This is an alright porter, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're seeking out an "IPA"

Quite coffee heavy for the style. Much better than the rating suggests.

Not the greatest aftertaste (Tommyknocker)

Good strong flavor with a more of a mellow after taste than anticipated.

Dark, smooth, thick, a bit like the old Blackened Voodoo, before Katrina.

Not bad but for such a dark color has a weak taste. Had it at mellow yellow in LR

Thought "hop strike" would be more hoppy tasting but was mostly a porter. Good as a porter, not so much as an IPA.

Very good. Like a Snowday.

There are times when this would rate a lot higher, but it is not an everyday beer. Pure IPA-stout hybrid with some good qualities.

Pours pretty dark with amber coloring in the light. Nose of coffee and hops. Taste the coffee and roasted malts with a good balance of hops. Pretty decent as I am usually not a big fan of black IPAs.
