Good but not as good as Redhook ESB.

Too malty for my taste

The beer hunter's great beer guide indicates that, in London, E.S.B. is a Fuller's brand name rather than a style. If this is true, then this is the beer to compare others to, rather than the other way around. It is, arguably, the original and this beer is no less than a world classic. Appearance - perfect. Smell - malty, clean hop nose. Taste - just like it should. It is an excellent balance of ingredients including the amount of carbonation. I imagine that the only way to improve on this beer is to get it in London, fresh.

The taste of hops is evident

Sweet smell, smooth and sweet taste. Honey, oats.

Brown with dissipating head. Bitter taste. Thin and watery

Great strong malty body , deep red in colour like a charged up London pride. One of the best examples of great English ale

An exceptional English dark ale, with a delicious solid body taste. Full flavor and a good balance sublime bitterness bite. As an American, I prefer this brew chilled in a ice mug.. Than the British room temp preference serving. Cheers, from sunny Southern California USA! 9/21/13

Really good! Bitter but yet smooth and carmel tasting.
