From bottle bought at retail. I expect a DIPA to make me sit up and take notice. And this does not disappoint. Nice citrus hops that eases into a nice sweet malt taste. And finishes with just the right amount of bitterness. And oh BTW one of the prettiest colors for a beer you will see. I would love to try this on tap sometime.

Can Capital D Douchebag Tjwitta be removed from here? Like a rival Maryland brewer, incognito trying to bring down the mood with his non-review and 1/2 star rating. Total fucking Twat.

Strong entry into the way overcrowded world of IPAs. But really, can you have too many IIPAs? As others have said, DDog has a powerful bite. Makes you want to hang your tongue out of your mouth, breath hard, wag your tail, and anticipate that next sip for its great mouthfeel and bitter, hoppy ping. I notice in the 2019 version, DDog has a strong sweet, fruit, floral core as well that is a slightly too strong. And can people just stop already commenting on how unbelievable it is that a beer with this much alcohol masks it so well. Times every beer with high abv. People, try Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA with about 16% and any number of Avery beers with over 15%, for example. Many craft beers have high alcohol. You almost always cannot really detect it, but it makes the beer more powerful in a subtle way. Almost always. Barrel aging might taste boozy, but that is another effect. Alright. Glad we had this talk.

Good bite. The malt is up to the alcohol content.

Very bitter but good buzz

Awesome! Very strong, big bite, and very good! Low alcohol taste for an 11.5% imo.

For 11.5% alc. content this brew is good. I wouldn't categorize it as refreshing because it does have a bit of kick. It's also a bit pricey for my taste

Good stuff from a local brewery. Nice after the kids are in bed! Smooth, very drinkable.
