spartan_andrew - December 27, 2021Raisin, burnt caramel, and not overly boozy. Substantial viscosity, light xarbonation and a heavenly sweet bouquet. A real treat, but don't waste it on someone who won't appreciate it. Lucky that dad wanted to share his with me. Yum.

bockboy@att.net - January 31, 2018A. Big rye and barrel flavors and lots of malt, muted hops. 2016 version tasted in early 2018. Label said Imperial Special Bitter.

HSAlegend02 - March 15, 2015So smooth, vanilla and caramel notes...I would've never guessed this was 12%! 5 stars

aaf145 - March 15, 20155 stars... One of my favorite barleywines... Definitely top 3..Slight burn that hits quick and then mellows..hints of fruit and vanilla..so crisp and smooth for a 12% Abv brew... Awesome should be in the top 10 in brewgenes top 100.

sudz - October 5, 2014Delicious overtones of toffee, caramel, vanilla, and coconut. This beer is well rounded and drinkable, considering it's youth and high alcohol. This beer will age exceptionally well. If you only have one in your beer fridge, wait a few years. If you have two or more, wait longer.

Metsfan93727 - September 5, 2014Sweet, sweet, sweet! Good but not great. Now that I've had it, not gonna miss it.
