Good stout. No heavy alcohol taste for a higher abv stout.

Just too much alcohol for me!

Surprising burst of plums pervades throughout, but doesn't work well as a stout, and the over-carbonation makes for an aggressive, metallic mouthfeel that's somewhat unpleasant. Something of a novel experiment, but not a smashing success.

Smokey toasted malt flavor. Solid stout.

Uber dark. Coffee taste out of the gate. High alcohol content. Overall I liked it.

Starts with a light floral aroma. I like the coffee that's comes with the first sip. This stout then finishes with touches of fruit and a hint of chocolate This is a nice stout beer from boulevard.

I do not like the fruit notes in here. There is something I don't like, that makes this beer more of a dopplebock than a stout. Whatever note it is, its the awful thing in Sam Adams Dark Depths and Anchor Bock. I prefer stouts that land more on the IRS side. All that being said, the yucky note is used in a way that exudes quality. It's well made, but it is what it is. Wouldn't do it again.

Floral aroma. Full, appropriately bitter head. Heavy malt and bitter hops flavor, smoky middle, sweet and bitter aftertaste. Very full body, fills the mouth with flavor. Another superb beer from Boulevard.
