The best Chimay has to offer. Nice Belgian yeast tast

This is a good Belgian style ale. Rich with fruity overtones and very smooth. I usually have one of these at Mimi's because a decent ipa is not available there. New Orleans still has a long way to go in the beer department but thanks to Nola brewing we are coming along.

Next to three philosophers this is one of my very favorite beers! Drinking it is an occasion in itself.

Nose of fresh yeast, light floral touch, cherry. Palate pleasant touch of roasted malt and cherry.

deep brown color with a frothy head. More of what I dislike in Belgian Ales than the Dubbel so it was OK but nothing to write home about.

Real nice mouth feel, almost chewy. Love the tiny bubbles.

A good beer, but overpriced. Not as good as the Chimay Cinq Cents, the tan label.

Sit Dow and inhale before you sip slowly. This is an ale to appreciate. Starts well, finish is delightful.
