mjax295 - December 11, 2017Not very good. This brewery would seem to have potential, but misses the mark consistently. Empty taste here. There is much better.
jph368 - September 3, 2017Coffee nose. I don't sense any barrel aging in the flavor. Coffee notes, otherwise pretty bland.
weberlee3@gmail.com - May 31, 2017Out of a bottle at Italian Restaurant in Chicago across the street from Indigo Hotel. Not good. Very non-distinct bourbon flavor, or hardly any at all. Weak for a stout. I'm not sure if the bottle I had was old or what but it had a very weird "brightness" to the aftertaste. You would think that if a brewer is going to name their beer ?Bourbon Barrel? that you would be able to taste, even a little bourbon or am I just crazy? There are too many bourbon barrel ales that are light years better than this too ever buy this again.
