For such a strong beer, pretty nice. Sweet, definite rye flavor, smooth... Solid 3.5-4

Great English barley wine as it is... But barrel aged in both bourbon and in limited release, Cabernet barrels as well! My favorite is the bourbon barrel. The Cabernet is great too and makes it taste like a Belgium quad. It's amazing how different it tastes from the bourbon barrel.
