Warm, nutty maltiness. Full-bodied. A good Brown.

Dark brown, medium carbonation, low medium mouthfeel. Small head that dissipates to almost nothing very quickly. Malt forward with toasty, toffee, hazelnut and chocolate flavors. There is more piney hop bitterness than other brown ales. Great beer.

An extremely average brown. Not bad, not great.

A nice surprise in a bottle of nut brown. The 2015 Best Brown comes across as both smooth and spicy. Low alcohol at 5.5%, nice head of medium-sized bubbles, a very good body and mouthfeel--no watery sensation, only moderate sweetness with no strong notes of caramel as other Browns often have, tasty maltiness, and moderately lingering spice flavors in the finish. Nicely done, Bell's!
