It certainly lives up to its style. Very dark amber/caramel/black in colour with a slightly oatmeal coloured head. There are a lot of citrusy, resinous hops on the nose. But not as many on the palate. The toasted malts come through better than expected. True to IPA form, there's a light body. A long finish with plenty of astringency rounds this beer out. It's better than I expected, but I'm still not a huge fan of IPAs.

Good black IPA. Some roasted malt to go with the hop flavor. Very drinkable.
