Good malty dark subtle bitters

Smooth, creamy, vanilla and caramel notes

Another great brew from Allagash.. However surprised how dry this dubbel is.. Creamy head, subtle malt, fruit, and a nutty flavored dispersed throughout this brew..4 stars... Believe it or not I prefer there standard run of the mill, 4 pack bottle Dubbel better.. Packed with much more flavor , actually gave that beer a 5 star rating, so my expectations for the Reserve, aged version were high, but regardless the reserve is still an excellent dubbel compared to even real deal belgian import dubbels.. Tasty.. 4 stars

Bit of a dry dubbel taste. Honestly a bit disappointed. I have not been overly impressed with any allagash to date. Would not buy this again, it is not worth the price

Smooth and strong.

Good Belgian brew; good complexity

Bought batch 102. This beer has a pretty complex flavor. I tasted a little caramel and pine. Not so sure I liked the notes of pine, but it has a smooth finish that balances it out.
