A-. Smoke, light leather and chocolate and vanilla. No fig. Thick mouthfeel.

Opaque mahogany with creamy, ivory, head. Modest aromas of roasted malt. Medium bodied with plentiful carbonation. Modest palate as well. Tart. Hmmm

Thick on palette. Smooth. Sweet. Has a "fire" to it. Like a brown ale. With kick.

Love it. Can tell it's strong, but the alcohol doesn't overwhelm. I don't get the 'leather' notes the brewer describes, but smoke and chocolate are an intriguing combination. Delicious sipping beer.

Too strong. Had on tap at brewery. Kind if cough syrup, coffee, root beer, taste

This beer is very good for the style. Dark strong and sweet, burnt malts, raisins, full of flavor. Bottle, February 2014.
