12oz, Dogfish Head snifter
Pours a clear amber. With a small white head which recedes to just a film. Aroma is there, but not really pungent. Flavor is balanced mildly citrus hops. There's a bitterness which mellows the hop sweetness, but it doesn't lend and bitterness taste profile. Almost more of a sweet grapefruit which leads to a dry finish. Not bad, definitely fun to drink, but not quite my style. Glad I tried it, though.

Clear amber brown. Same head as before. Smells sweet and malty like Brewdog's Yang. More earthy hops than anything. Malty, delicious. Warming.

CAHoya07 - January 14, 2013Strong and rich, hoppy but not overly so. Much more of a sipping than a throw it back type of beer. Darker than average IPA, it is an Imperial IPA after all. Very well balanced, one of my favorites of all time, and I'm not a hophead.
