Pairing is important here. I found this beer to be light and nice to accompany southern soul food.

Apparently a marzen. A little light bodied but very drinkable.

Kind of bitter

Nice tasting lager. One of the better Sam Adams lagers. Malty with an odd aroma, can't place it, with a citrusy, orange finish. The 2015 batch has a yeasty, maybe wheat-ish finish to it

Good solid Octoberfest.

Starts off good then dies out. Good old faithful Sam's hoppyness. 3 to 4 in a sitting.

Not terrible but not very noteworthy. Not the best Oktoberfest beer either.

Not bad but not particularly enjoyable either.

Sam you may be the red headed step child of micro breweries but you make a decent Octoberfest brew.
