A lighter dark beer, somewhat sweet and oaken tasting

Great beer! I loved this beer, it's got a good full bodied malty flavor with a nice smooth aftertaste. Loves this beer. The only thing I didn't like was the difference in taste from the cans to the tap.

Old Chub popped my Scottish Ale cherry and I haven't looked back. Very smooth. Amazed it came out of a can and not off the tap.

Solid beer, good malt profile. Not much else, but it satisfies.

01AUG12, Flying Saucer, Nashville, TN Can Smooth. Aroma is a bit weak, but hints at malt, with a slight bit of chocolate. Taste is full with mouthfeel of smooth and almost creamy. Medium-dry finish that is a tad sweet. It's got a nice flavor that had a tiny bit of bitterness with some malt and creaminess to work it out at the end. 20MAR14, Flanagan's, Louisville, KY Nitro draft, pint Pours clear dark brown with cascading tan head. Head is creamy, rest of beer is light, crisp, and a hint bitter molasses. Aroma is dull, flavor is sharp sweetness up front. If the whole beer was as creamy as the head, I'd like it more.
