Heavy. Great cooler weather ale. Best canned beer I've tasted.

Dark and tasty but a bit sweet

Deep mahogany color, nose of dark fruit and berries. Scotch notes of smoke and peat dominate but dissipate as beer comes toward room temp, giving way to malt on the front with smoke on the finish.

Heavy, strong, smooth and sweet. Just like me. First couple sips were really good but then it started to wear on me a little. Has a weird kind of bitter aftertaste but not like hop bitterness. Maybe more like wood + licorice + booziness or something? Not a huge fan of the style but overall it's a decent enough beer.

The ones I had were in a green can and poured a deep golden color. Sweet with enough carbonation to keep it from being syrupy or heavy. Easy drinking. The only bitterness was in that honey or burnt carmel way. But sugar isn't the only thing going on, there is also some rich warm grain there for structure.
