Good ipa goes down easy but not much of a taste

I'm new to trying to describe a beer's flavor, but here goes. Loose Cannon, to my horribly unrefined palate, is a slightly sweet, caramel-coffee flavored beer. For an IPA it is decidedly not hoppy. I am a huge IPA fan and love a hoppy beer but I often find it hard to drink more than three or four strong IPA's without having to "cleanse the palate" with a cider or a Bud Light! That being said, because of the slight sweetness I can manage a sixer of Loose Cannon no problem. While it may not be the most traditional (?) IPA on the market Loose Cannon is a VERY drinkable beer.

Part of a beer flight at mellow. Distant 2nd behind Hercules double IPA. Unique flavor.
