Pours more like champagne than beer with deep golden color a huge white head with fine bubbles that explode out of solution even with a slow pour. Slightly cloudy from the yeast and the lacing/head-retention are seriously here to stay. Aroma has the typical Belgian yeast spice character, but just underneath that is a nice sweet malt character, graininess, and some slight alcohol but probably just because of the effervescence. On the tongue the Belgian character holds true and the sweet malt comes through giving it depth of flavor without being too heavy handed on any trait. It's a moderately complex beer that is very drinkable, highly carbonated with a finish that is crisp with some slight sweetness but dry enough to quench the palate. Overall, a tremendous beer. I like how the Belgian flavor was the show but there were so many other flavors that were balanced and individual but culminated into one very good beer.

Smooth. Fruitier than I generally like. But the spice more than makes up for the fruitiness.
