Very good barley wine with smooth malt and quiet hops background. Late quiet evening drink.

You'll definitely taste the bourbon notes. profile - April 24, 2013
Good flavor but you can taste the high ABV profile - April 13, 2013
So smooth, sweet and very "bourbony" profile - April 7, 2013
Not for me. Tasted fermented fruity flavor

Not my favorite barleywine, but still very drinkable. The oak aging makes it finish more dry than blithering does.

Oak aging makes it taste like a quad. Candies raisins and dates, oaky vanilla caramel. Sweet and delicious!

Tried the 2011, 2012, and 2013 together. 2013 had a very strong vanilla flavor, 2011 was dominated by the oak bourbon barrels, but the 2012 had a really nice balance, with both of those flavors present, and a small bit of the fruity flavor. 2012 was my favorite for the balance.
