Dawgvet - January 31, 2017Sweet, fruit/vanilla start with a mild bitter finish. Slight coffee undertone.

Beeker - September 3, 2016#651: Very, very good taste. The taste of alcohol is not extremely prevalent - instead, you are met with a vanilla/oak-y, malty taste that hits the front of the pallet with a slightly sharp touch that quickly recedes, revealing a complex yet smooth, refined flavor. Malty, toffee-like. Very rich flavor that leaves you wanting more. Take it slow. Be careful though, at 11% it will sneak up on you and kick your ass of your not paying attention. A solid four stars if you like strong ales.

jt1795grill@yahoo.com - July 4, 2016so bold and strong.. abv overtakes some notes.. this is a bigboy beer

bkblumenberg@yahoo.com - June 14, 2016Complex slow drinking beer. First taste is alcohol (11%), second is maple, and third is vanilla.

Fireballlk - May 15, 2016Belgian-like, dark fruits taste, sweetness and molasses/vanilla; complex and great mouthfeel; beautiful ruby gold deep color; potent

usmcfire - April 14, 2016Very different taste. Smooth and flavorful. No bite from the 11% abv. A little bit sweet but pleasant. Nice dark color.

wesleyboston930@yahoo.com - March 15, 2016Cherry oak baking spice nose. Boozier on the nose than on the palate lively bubbles almost taste like a rose but oaky
