What makes me really like an IPA is when it gets the hop profile AND the malts right. This one does exactly that, while sporting a high ABV that proves dangerous because the delicious taste makes you want to drink it in big gulps. Aroma is grapefruit rind and evergreen. The hop bit and caramel malt flavors hit at the exact same time, right in the middle. The finish is very long and piney. I love this beer! Bottle.

Malty sweet with a woodsy hop bite at the end. Pretty good imperial IPA. Bottle, April 2013.

Nothing special. I like hops, but this taste like any other hop rich beer. Expected more.

I was expecting to get my palate destroyed. However, very smooth with a malty finish.

Definitely hoppy, strong up front with a smooth finish. Stronger than you think it is!
