Amazingly smooth, akin to Innis/gunn Irish whiskey flavor or their bourbon stout. The high note of this is much like dogfish head 90min ops or Samuel Smiths India ale, some sort of vanilla licorice flavor in the finish, also lightly present in the bouquet

9.8% in 2015. Smells like a lager. Lighter than I expected, so be careful because doesn't drink like a beer that's almost 10%. Amber brown color. Molasses and oak mentioned on the bottle is very light. Overall a pleasant drink; nothing radical. Good beer to start someone into high gravity beers.

Poor mans version of Really Old Brown Dog Ale by Smuttynose... Not quite the amount of flavor, lower abv, and that all too familiar founders burn to finish... But with that being said a decent old ale which I'll slam and still a high enough Abv to keep me content.. 3 stars I guess.

This brew defines rich flavor. I found best as a stand alone brew but am not opposed to serving it with steaks or bar-b-q porks

Very good oak aged, does not leave the oakey aftertaste.

OMG! Leave a couple of hours to drink this one! Yes. Lot's of hops, lot's of alcohol, but they are covered in a toasted marshmallow! Expect sensory stimulation on various planes. I may not drink this every day, but I will not forget it.
