Although a little heavy, a good smooth beer. Lays well on the pallet. Great on a cold afternoon!

Really enjoyed this one. Thick and satisfying. Really smooth going down. Wait...

Mahogany with a thin soapy head. Good carbonation. Scotchy aroma. More crisp than creamy, but rich flavor profile, raisin, malt, molasses, cola. Good, somewhat lighter, alternative to an Imperial Stout.

From the delicious smell pouring into the glass, the beautiful dark red color, the nice thick head I knew this was going to be good. And that was before even tasting it! This is a rich, malty ale with what almost seemed like a hint of bourbon. Maybe it was just the 8% fooling me but whatever, this a great, great Scotch Ale. And a great, slick mouth feel. My daughter who does not even drink much beer and definitely not stronger brews liked it. Wow, a strong 4 1/2 stars.

On Nitro at the Celt. Very smooth. Easy drinking for 8%. Really good scotch ale.

Mahogany brown with off white head. Visible medium rising carbonation. Fig esters with caramel. Well carbonated with a dark malty taste. Warming and subtle chocolateness.

Very flavorful and smooth for a dark beer.
A little too much "coffee ground" aftertaste for my taste but very good.
