After drinking it I couldn't decide it it was good or great. Probably the most interesting flavorful beer I've had.

Dark red in color. Sugary molasses, wood and nutmeg aromas. Taste is like a fig newton, with piney hops and a malty warming finish. Lots of molasses too

Typical of past holiday beers from Anchor, though not their best. Licorice is a bit strong for my taste.
