I like this one better than some prior years. Dark cherries, but not too sweet.

A special beer from Anchor they change it up so it is a different recipe every year. Dark chestnut to mahogany in color with a thin white head and strong molasses wood cinnamon and nutmeg aromas. Then you get strong figs and dates like a fig newton. This is very good this year. Flavors definitely invoke Christmas with nutmeg spices, piney hops and a woodsy warming finish. Lots of molasses too. Quite tasty. Would recommend to get the 2013 edition

Very crisp, spicy taste. Not a the best winter beer but drinkable.

A different recipe every year comes something special from the Anchor. This is very good this year spicy but tame in the aftertaste. it's definitely something you don't want to miss for this Christmas season if you can find it in supermarkets or your favorite store now. Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
