Nice roastiness with just a little coffee in the finish.

Like a stout should taste. Dark, full taste, and even end.

Good 'ol stout with a hint of licorice (I think, it's says that on the bottle).

Nothing distinctive about this Stout.

Dark brown almost black pour into pint glass producing khaki head and leaving moderate lace. Aromas of roasted malt, licorice and bittersweet chocolate. Coffee, bittersweet chocolate, toasty malt and licorice meld together a complex ménage of flavors. Full bodied with minimal carbonation. Tasty stout that is very worth having again.

A strong tasting but very smooth stout with a black licorice aftertaste. This beer is a definite redo.

Bell's Brewing, Kalamazoo, MI Very uneven quality makes this a 1 star. Sometimes this beer tastes great & other times this is a really terrible tasting beer and I love licorice. Nice licorice flavor when the flavor is on.
