DanMan27 - January 18, 2013Dark brown, almost black beer with a dark tan head. Main tastes j pick out are coffee, nutmeg, allspice, and an anise ending. Good beer, especially since I'm a fan of spice flavors. Tried it today (1-17-13) and bought a second to let sit for a few months and see how it changes, since that's what this series is all about.

acmetoyco - January 10, 2013Nice color and texture and creamy head but strong unpleasant after taste, won't have another.

tangentdivison - January 10, 2013I was really excited to try stones vertical line. I was disappointed. I wouldn't call this one bad but it didn't live up to the hype. Tasted like pumpkin spices with no pumpkin and some other hints of fruit, and there was a flavor mixed in that I didn't care for but couldn't identify. I felt it wasn't balanced very well flavor wise. I wouldn't buy it again, but perhaps it would be worth a try on draft.

trevorcoop00 - January 6, 20131-5-13. Nice dark color. Lingering tan head. Smooth mouthfeel. Hints of clove and licorice.

cocamide - January 5, 2013Strong cinnamon/clove aroma and taste. I enjoyed the uniqueness of this beer but the spice taste is a bit too much. I'm looking forward to seeing how the other bottle tastes after aging.
