Pours a cloudy caramel color with a tan one finger head that leaves behind a nice film. Aroma is almost piney grassy hops with a strong hint of malt. Roasted malt. With some caramel notes. Smells and tastes sweet. There's a hint of bitterness, but it's mostly masked by the sweetness and hops. Very different, and a lot darker for an Imperial. Mouthfeel is kind of creamy, definitely on the thicker end. Mostly dry finish. Maybe a tiny hint of honey to compliment the caramel, but maybe not. Intriguing, and enjoyable to drink. 98 Ratebeer.
