Very good black rye IPA but it reminds me more of a good Porter instead of a classic IPA.

A good cold weather beer. Sweet and smokey, real smooth. Don't serve it to cold. The flavor expands as it warms a little.

Great cold weather beer. Smooth and balanced. The roasted malt is lovely, not overdone. Or maybe the rye smoothes out the burnt taste of the roasted malt? Am becoming a fan of rye and scotch ales. This is another great example.

Too bitey, has a bitter lingering taste left behind on your palate.. The rye and hops overpower the roasted and creamy flavor.. Had potential but this beers flavor changes every sip.. Not really feeling it.. Not top 100 material either.
