Excellent balance without heavy handed bitterness and a flavor that conceals well the 8% ABV.

Nice light and refreshing . Perfect for daily consumption

Do not drink this beer too cold - let it warm up a little. I started with only a three star rating because it was far too one-dimensional for a $10 per four pack at Costco priced beer, even if they are one pint cans. Once the beer warms up, it improves significantly, has more character, and more balance. Bumped it up a star. Lacks a little in body, and the malt notes are not complex enough, but for a double IPA, it has considerably more than just hops and alcohol, which is a very good thing. If you like double IPAs, give this a try.

Smooth. Not hoppy. Had one at lazy dog

Closest to Pliny the Elder you can get. Doesn't have that great aroma but the taste is definitely uncanny.

A-. Hides alcohol well. Earthy pine and citrus with residual sweetness. Tasted again and it seems old, more of a B.

Good ipa.

Super hoppy and bitter with citrus and pine. Light in color and body, very dry finish. Not bad if looking for hops. Can, January 2015.
