bobbyhickory - April 11, 2014Not much hoppiness which is good. Nice molasses aroma. Some smoky flavor from the oak which contributes to some booziness which is a little surprising given that it's only 7.4%. A little buttery flavor too. Decent but nothing to write home about.
jameson.alford@gmail.com - March 5, 2013It has a nice, dark ruby color and creamy tan head that doesn't last very long. There are subtle hops and oak influences, but an iron odor dominates. The minerality disappears in the mouth and is replaced by roasted malts and some sweetness. The finish is off dry and long.
