Deep, rich and creamy smooth. Full on mocha dessert treat with just the right amount of boozy undertones to drive it home. Really great.

Tastes of coffee and chocolate. Smooth and not too heavy. Really delightful even if you aren't a usual porter drinker

There are notes of toasted cereals, very mild note of chocolate. It has a deep, dark reddish-brown tint with a small dissipating head. The beer is less sweet than it's name would suggest -- but has a rather dry hint of cocoa, butterscotch, coffee, and a smooth but acidic finish that leaves you with a taste of coffee. As a fan of cocoa and coffee porters I was nonetheless not bowled over by this mix. It's a little too dry to be a tasty chocolate porter, but there are worse products to be had. An average offering from this brewery. ***An update -- while my original review came straight from the brewery, I have had more favorable experiences elsewhere when I quite enjoyed this beer***

Wasn't sure the first time I popped a can of this, but towards the end of the glass I was very happy. Now I know to serve it warm - like, room temp warm. The bitter chocolate really pops and coalesces with the malt to make a bittersweet treat of a beer albeit in a thin-bodied porter.
