Carmel, toffee, nuts...it's like a stout pie!
Really good and I'm happy I picked this up as a one-off

No carb, smooth. Mid body. Subtle rye, bourbon flavor w/ roasted malt. However, alcohol taste is too strong, will improve w/age. 3.65

Wow. This is so complex. Sweet, malty, and well balanced. A great beer.

Pecan taste is a little much on the back of the tongue. Otherwise pretty smooth and good. Bottle, August 2013.

I can taste the pecans! Delicious, strong as hell, flavor all the way through. One and done at 13%!. EDIT: Aged a year and even better. Some of the harshness from the high ABV is subdued with age. Smooth!

Pours like motor oil. Dark black thin head and molasses syrupy aromas with a bourbon undertone. Syrupy sweetness, with a smoked aged bourbon or rum taste. At 13% not for the faint of heart.

Pours like motor oil. Hint of bourbon aroma. Syrupy sweetness, like pecan pie.

Dark a bit bitter and a hint of pecan.
