High in alcohol. A bit bitter

I find IPA 's a challenge usually. But this one might just convert me. There is the hoppy bitterness but the beer is very complex with a little sweetness and a little floral after taste. If all IPA 's were more like this I would have them more often

A bitter taste. Somewhat fruity

On tap at Lowlander in Covent Garden - nice clean, hoppy bitterness for a Belgian tripel; notes of sweetness and metal at the finish, along with a pronounced lemon-zest. Very complex flavor profile. One of my favorites of any Belgian ale, and likely one of my favorite IPAs to boot, although the two styles rarely mix!

Pours a cloudy/unfiltered orange honey color. Somewhat floral and piney nose. Sweet at first, can taste the butterscotch mentioned by another reviewer. After that, there is a hint of caramel and good amount of hops. Little bit of alcohol and slightly bitter finish.

12JUL12, Flying Saucer, Nashville, TN Good beer, a little sweet on the flavor but not enough to ruin the beer. Malts are good, floral aroma with medium mouthfeel. Medium to semi-dry finish. Wouldn't mind drinking again.
