FabAru - July 7, 2019To its credit, a real saison. Not a masquerading tripel and not a pale ale, as happens too frequently. Tropic King is good but not the top tier of saison, as I thought when I first got it in Steamboat, CO a few years back. With saisons so much more widespread today, there are a few others that go above TK. As is so often the criticism with saisons, the beer needs a little more of everything that it already has to make it less mild. But it is good and easy drinking. In todays craft beer climate, btw, can you even call 8% abv imperial? That no longer seems high!
MonicaAJC - May 13, 2019From Beer Bazaar in Hainesville IL. 5/11/19. My new favorite beer. Incredibly drinkable for an 8.0 ABV. Crystalline straw color, high carbonation, perfect saison balance of funkiness to hops. Cannot wait to have another.
dedelst2@gmail.com - September 21, 2016Typical Belgian smell. Taste is much better than normal Belgian though. Strong hefe taste with some citrus in there too. Also a bit of hoppiness. Yum
Cellar Dweller - March 3, 2016Nice saison with a very light sourness. Tons of carbonation keep this beer dancing on your tongue. The fruit flavors are very subtle and there is little saison aftertaste. Nice beer!
