ABV is 8.5%, not 9.5%. Nice grapefruit smell. Beer is a bit cloudy. Flavor has malty overtones. Tastes great with a wonderful astringent finish. One of my favorites.

Like all Karl Strauss a hint of sweetness sneaking through the 100 IBU. They must add a dash of sugar to everything just before bottling.

A 16oz might have been perfect, because by the time I got to the last 6 ounces, I was ready to be done. It's not bad, but among DIPAs, I would rank it lower then I rank Tower 10 among IPAs. Solid effort, and as with some other Karl beers, I imagine that its significantly better on draft at one of their places than out of the bottle.

Golden color with a cloudy finish. Nice taste with a slightly sweet finish. Average IIPA but not top shelf.

It was ok for first couple sips but that "ok" taste accumulates and gets bad the more you drink.
