Dark black color with a nice thick brown head that slowly dissipates. Has a slight toasted malt aroma mixed with dark a hint of bitter coffee. Has a slight astringent smell too. Medium in body it is a roasted chocolate malt forward before a very dry bitter coffee taste dominates. Seems out of balance in that the coffee is very strong and harsh. No hops in the flavor. Finish is astringent strong bitter black coffee. A great of idea but room for improvement.
