bockboy@att.net - February 1, 2016B. Very complex flavors of maple, pecans, bourbon, vanilla. Like eating a chocolate turtle with a bourbon bite/ bitter aftertaste. Aroma sweet caramel and vanilla. Would make an A if it weren't for that bitter aftertaste. Had a later year and the bourbon and bitterness were muted, so gave an A.
web - January 21, 2016Amazing. 4.5/5 for the style, 4/5 for my palate, would be 5/5 if the aftertaste weren't as roast-bitter. I really enjoy Campfire Stout but this one tops it.
brewbaker - January 12, 2015Nice beer with a little maple flavor, hint of bourbon and strong vanilla finish. Can't really identify the pecan. A little thin on the finish. Wish it was bigger with a more full body.
