I've had barley before. This was a little over the to. Sicky sweet.

One of the best beers I have yet to taste, and the best barley wine I have had. Lots of booze, bourbon and barley. Fantastic sipping beer best enjoyed with the people you love. Next year I will buy one to age and see how the booziness morphs. Cheers. 22 oz bottle

Toasted coconut, vanilla, cocoa on the nose, creamy mouthfeel, great barley wine flavor's with a subtle bourbon finish, a little alc heat, will fade with aging - a year later, 2014, all the same flavors with little alc heat, Amazing barleywine

Wow. The bourbon comes through amazingly for a buttery, chocolatey attack on your taste buds. This is an amazing beer.

Aka Abacus-Ultra malty and smooth barley wine. Hints of vanilla and toffee. Definitely cellarable. Wish I kept it instead of drinking it!

When it's cold you get the more liquor tastes, but as it warms you start noticing the cherry kind of tastes.

Pours dark red up to the light, no head. Red wine, vanilla, bourbon in the nose. Bourbon, vanilla, a touch of red wine, a touch of alcohol, but it pulls it all together.
