xman - September 3, 2016Life long detroiter. Strohs has been long gone for years. Pabst owns the brand. Upstart Detroit Brew works a deal to make the legendary recipe in the D. Though I doubt that they are using flame throwers to heat the wort like strohs did back in the day. Excited as all get out because of the nostalgia about it. And..........it is really not that good. There is a funky pineapple-esq taste on the back end. Very strange. Now I know why 30 packs were so cheap in college.
Maybe we can try Goebel's (my grandfather's fine French beer that he drank at root cellar temperature) next...
