It's pretty much the overwhelming aroma. It reminds me of leather and chewing tobacco, but my olfactory seems to think it's beef jerky. Rest assured, this is beer. It's flavor is overly roasty. Almost to the bitter and dry finishing characters. It has a smooth and velvety mouthfeel, but the finish is a little good roasty for me. Again, 6oz was enough.
