More like a decent black IPA. Not creamy like a stout. Good hop finish. Liked overall. Can, June 2013.

This is definitely a great black IPA. I can't even think of this as a stout, definitely not malty, roasty or chocolate - just a nice bitter finish.

Good amount of hops, roasted taste is not overwhelming. Reminds me more of a black IPA than a stout, but that's not a bad thing.

A little too bitter and not quite malty enough. Good beer but not great

Bitter & hoppy. Good but not a typical stout. Not creamy or sweet, more like a black IPA.

Super dark and roasty. Not malty enough though. No coffee or chocolate.

Hardly a stout and I'll probably create another listing for this beer with more accurate stats (6.3%ABV). Closer to a Black IPA than anything because of its light body and hop finish. In SixPoint's version of a Cascadian Dark Ale, Diesel has smooth malty notes that quickly take a turn towards it's piney hop finish. Stronger alcohol presence at the nose than you would expect. All around above average dark beer.

Very dark with piney hop notes, good toasty flavor.
