Pours amber with very little head. Scent is bread malt and a little caramel. Taste is malt and maybe a little hops. Sweeter than most American Octoberfest beers. More like a European Oktoberfest beer.

Less caramel or malty and slightly more bitter than Sam Adams which is my favorite widely available US produced Marzen. Like Shiners Bock better. Good enough if it?s whats available.

The color is good. Head retention isn?t bad. This one is a little thin and it?s on the bitter side for an Oktoberfest.

Slight Carmel note. Refreshing.

Just OK. Not bad, but OK. Not much to get excited about.

Decent Oktoberfest. Nothing great. Get a 6 pack of it every year it comes out. Good overall.
