Tastes closer to an amber or red than an APA. Initial impression is malt, especially the darker malts used on top of the pale base malt. Medium hop bitterness underlies malt from fist sip and remains as the hop flavor takes control quickly after the malt. Very good session ale; my one complaint is that (for my tastes) it is a little bit over carbonated... Session beer began in England - their origins should be honored with relatively low carbonation!!
